Christmas Comes Early

I am so excited about the new line of Christmas ornaments that have arrived. There are a bunch of new ear hat themed ornaments on the Disney Store website. www.disneystore.com

The new ones are $19.95 and they are all double sided. The price is a little steep, so I am not certain that I will be buying any.

Here are some of my favorites! Belle, Tangled, Wall-E and Mater.

Ride Review: Enchanted Tiki Room

The Tiki Room is located in Adventureland and it is right next to the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
There is a short pre-show and then you walk inside to the main theatre.

As some of you may know, the Tiki Room  had a major refurbishment. There was a fire back in January of 2011 which lead Disney to change the whole show. I was actually in the park the day that the fire happened. There was no visible damage outside, so we just figured it was closed.  They changed it from being "Under New Management" :

Now it has gone back to its original version from when the park first opened. Back in June, I was able to watch this for the first time since it had been changed. The original song was still there of course, but there were quite a few new ones.

The old songs are nostalgic for some people, I'm sure, but for the younger crowd, I thought it was boring. I will now skip this show, because I fell like my time will be better served elsewhere in the part. This is a show that I would have to say is a do once and move on kind of show.

I don't really understand why they reverted it back to the old show, it just seems dated.

A Disney Recipe

This recipe comes from one of my favorite restaurants, Hollywood & Vine in Hollywood Studios. It is a buffet and it is super amazing! Its normal food, nothing fancy but it all tastes amazing.

This recipe is for the creamed corn spoon bread. I get this every time that it is there!

Spoon Bread
Source
Served at Hollywood & Vine

Ingredients:

1 ½ Cups Cornmeal
1 Cup Buttermilk
8 T Sugar
1 ½ Cups Corn (Frozen Kernels)
2 T Baking Powder
1 Cup Milk
1 tsp. Salt
¼ Cup Butter
Creamed Corn (Heated) 3 Cups
Instructions:

Add dry ingredients to liquid and mix together until well blended.

Pour into well greased 9” x 13” pan.

Place in steamer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

Top with creamed corn and serve.

Note: If you do not have a steamer you can use a double boiler and cook for 15 to 20 minutes
